Art Journaling: Developing Mental Health Strength Through Creativity
The art of our lives are told in layered stories. One way to help an individual share their story is through art journaling. An art journal is a multi-layered approach with paint, ink, images, and words and created over time. Art journaling is a skill that can be utilized for healthy, positive self-care, a creative expression of thoughts and feelings, development of creative play, and goal planning and development. In this workshop, you will learn how to incorporate this skill into your daily life and how to introduce the skill to others.
This training is provided by Amber Walker, LCSW, who has over 17 years of experience in clinical practice. She specializes in the treatment of trauma including evidenced-based practices of EMDR, Prolonged Exposure, and Cognitive Processing Therapy.
Attendees will receive a certificate for 1.5 hours. All supplies are provided.
