The Illinois Department of Children and
Family Services provided funding for the
creation of the Adoption Learning Partners website and
the first four on-line courses.
Course Titles

- Understanding the Adoption Tax Credit
- The Journey of Attachment
- With Eyes Wide Open: A Preparation Guide for International Adoption
- This summer two additional courses will be launched, covering grief and loss in adoption and how to be an effective advocate for your adopted child.
With the exception of With Eyes Wide Open (which has a $25 enrollment fee), the site has offers courses free of charge, although there is a $25 fee to users who require a Certificate of Completion for training purposes.

FosterClub is "the
national network for youth in foster care." The
FosterClub Training Library consists of collection of
research papers, reports, articles and book excerpts
produced by leading authorities in child welfare and
available in the public domain. By using these existing
resources as the content of each course, the site offers
online training for free. FosterClub has prepared a
quiz for each course that checks for the learner's
comprehension of the subject matter.
Registered users will be able to keep track of CEUs
earned and will receive a downloadable certificate for
each course that is completed. Registered users may
also print a transcript of all courses taken. Registration
is free. There are 11 courses, ranging from 1-3 credit
hours.

This website offers 55 on-line courses for fees ranging from $4 to $6 (course fees are per person, not per family). Courses range from 1-5 credit hours. Payment may be made by credit or debit card through a secured server. Once payment is verified, an email receipt with clickable links to the course(s) will be emailed within minutes of the order. Certificates of completion are automatically generated with 80% correct on a test at the end of each course. Certificates may be emailed or downloaded.

Maine Parent Federation (MPF) provides online trainings that take the learner step
by step through the workshop, and then test the learner's
knowledge at the end of the session. Upon completing
the survey and certificate registration, a certificate
of completion will be mailed out.
